Lockheed Martin

Lockheed Martin is an advanced technology company that employs some 140,000 people worldwide. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company's site in Marietta, Georgia, is home to the C-130J Hercules transport and the F/A-22 Raptor air dominance fighter. The site is also responsible for the avionics and engine modernization programs for the C-5 Galaxy strategic transport. The Marietta facility also developed and produced the XV-4 Hummingbird research aircraft, the JetStar business jet, the LASA-60 general aviation aircraft, the C-141 StarLifter jet transport, the C-5 Galaxy, and the P-3 Orion.

Nature of GRA support: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, through a GRA Technology Partnership, has worked with Dr. Schreyes Melkote at Georgia Tech on advanced burr-free drilling for aerospace materials.
