Christian Fischer

Christian Fischer is the CEO and president of Georgia-Pacific (GP), one of the largest manufacturers of consumer, building and packaging products in the world. He has led the company since 2017 with over 30 years of company and industry experience.

Born and educated in Germany, Fischer also lived in Brazil for 10 years. He began his career with GP in 1989 as a market pulp sales manager for Europe and later served as executive vice president for the packaging and cellulose businesses. 

Fischer is heavily involved in the forest products industry and serves on the board of The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA). He is also a member of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Board of Councilors for The Carter Center. In addition to his board roles, Fischer personally supports several charitable organizations in the Atlanta area such as Habitat for Humanity and Café Momentum. 

Christian and his wife Anke, also from Germany, have four children, all born and raised in Atlanta.
